THE VISIT
Built on the occasion of the 1900 Paris Exposition to present the achievements of the decorative arts, the Petit Palais forms, with the Grand Palais and the Alexandre III Bridge, a spectacular ensemble. Changed into a Museum of Fine Arts in 1902, the Petit Palais is distinguished by the decorative richness and ingenuity of the interior layout.
Our visit will begin outside in order to place the history of the building in context and then admire the interior spaces, including the sublime garden, framed by the Italian-style colonnade, and its decorations glorifying the City of Paris and the Arts.
Among the very rich permanent collections, we will focus more particularly on masterpieces such as the Portrait of Sarah Bernhardt by Georges Clairin, the Sun Setting on the Seine by Monet, the Dining Room of the Hôtel Guimard or again the admirable jewels of Georges Fouquet: enough to immerse us in the atmosphere of “luxury, calm and voluptuousness” of the Belle Époque.

The Petit Palais is open every day, except Monday and on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Late openings until 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
This tour can include a break at the Café 1902, located in the garden of the Petit Palais (on request, costs in addition to the price indicated).
