THE VISIT
With Notre-Dame cathedral and the vestiges of the former royal residence, the Ile de la Cité is the political, judicial and religious heart of Paris.
Within the vast complex of the current Palace of Justice, the Sainte-Chapelle bears witness to the presence of the kings of France on the Ile de la Cité. A treasure chest of light and colour, this palatine chapel is a sort of monumental reliquary that King Louis IX had built to house the precious relics of the Passion of Christ.
The Conciergerie, with its huge Gothic-style gendarmes’ room and kitchens, offers an immersion in daily life in the Middle Ages.
This visit will be a journey through the history of France, from the incredible political-religious project of the future Saint Louis to the revolutionary period of the Terror, passing through the cuisine of the famous chef Taillevent to the tragic fate of Queen Marie Antoinette.

The entrance ticket to the monumets, which your guide has to buy for you (20,00 €/full price).

The Sainte-Chapelle & Conciergerie are open every day – except on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th – from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm from April 1st to September 30th and from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from October 1st to March 31.
