THE VISIT
Nowadays one of the largest museums in the world, the Louvre was originally a defensive fortress, turned over time into a magnificent royal residence.
Our visit starts outside in order to place this emblematic monument in its urban context and to briefly retrace the history of its architecture. The tour continues inside to discover the medieval vestiges of the Louvre castle and then the exceptional collections of the museum. From ancient Egypt to Greco-Roman antiquities, from the Italian Renaissance to French Neoclassicism and Romanticism, you will admire the main expressions of Western art. You will understand the reasons why masterpieces such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Mona Lisa or The Liberty leading the people are so famous and still today embody a timeless modernity.

This rate does not include :
The entrance ticket to the Louvre Museum, which your guide can buy for you (22,00 €/full price).

The Louvre Museum is open every day, except Tuesdays and on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.
This tour is not possible on the first Sunday of the month.
